About The Role We're looking for a detail-oriented Tax Operations Specialist to join our payroll tax compliance team. You'll directly report to our Tax Operations Lead, becoming the first line of defense when customers receive payroll tax notices. This role combines technical tax expertise with exceptional customer service - you'll investigate issues, communicate with tax agencies, and guide founders through resolutions with clarity and confidence. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-4 years of payroll tax experience who wants to deepen their multi-state compliance expertise while helping build scalable processes at a fast-growing startup. What You’ll Do Notice Resolution & Customer Support : Decode federal, state, and local payroll tax notices, translate tax jargon into plain English, and guide founders through resolution via email, Zoom, and Pylon Agency Communication : Draft letters, file responses, and represent Warp in conversations with
