Responsibilities As a Trust, Risk & Safety Engineer at Phantom, you’ll build the systems that safeguard our users, products, and platform. Working across the stack, you’ll detect and prevent abuse, assess emerging risks, reduce financial loss, and equip internal teams with the tools and intelligence needed to respond quickly and effectively. The ideal candidate brings high agency, a strong sense of ownership, exceptional technical judgment and product taste, a relentless work ethic, and the emotional intelligence to navigate complex, high-stakes situations. Fraud prevention: Build real-time risk controls and decisioning systems for products such as ACH, debit cards, onramps, off-ramps, and other money movement experiences. Scam and abuse detection: Develop signals, models, and product interventions that identify malicious wallets, transactions, applications, and user behavior. Identity and compliance infrastructure:
