The Role Beyond Finance is searching for an office-savvy Payment Operations Associate that will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical tasks within our Business Operations Department. This position will collaborate with the department to assist in helping the client settle as much of their unsecured debt as possible. The Business Operations Department works directly with creditors, agencies and law offices to resolve delinquent accounts to negotiate the best possible savings for each client. Responsibilities Manage daily settlement pipeline and exception reporting for the payment setup and clearing process. Communicate with creditors and agencies (on the phone and via email) in order to clear payment exceptions and uncleared payments. Support the acquisition of required documentation required to successfully remit a payment. Request proof of payment from collection agencies, creditors, and our third-party payment processor company. Utilize accumulation of funds banking ledger to determine when funds will be available for the payment remittance and ensure sufficient deposit account balances based on operational need.
