We are looking for a Mechanical Test Engineer to support the Test Centre of the European Space Agency (ESA) as part of a Workforce Management Service proposal at their location in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The purpose of this Support Service is to provide technical support to the Engineering Services Section and the Test Facilities and Laboratories Section across multiple technical domains, ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and development of the Test Centre's facilities, infrastructure, and test capabilities. Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at the interview stage). The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: Design, develop, and maintain Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) to support testing activities within ESTEC laboratories and Test Centre facilities; Produce 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation suitable for fabrication and implementation; Perform structural and engineering analyses, including finite element modelling (FEM), to verify design compliance and performance; Prepare design justification documentation, including calculations, assumptions, analyses, and technical recommendations; Ensure MGSE designs comply with applicable technical requirements, quality standards, and ESA regulations; Provide engineering support during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning activities; Coordinate and execute verification activities, i
