Role Our engineering organization is growing and evolving into product squads supported by Product, Data, and AI Engineering layers. We are looking for a Staff Engineer to take architectural and technical decisions across squads, own our largest technical initiatives, and raise the engineering bar as we scale. You’ll report to our engineering leadership, with no direct reports and real decision-making power. Your key responsibilities Cross-Team Technical Initiatives: Take on large, complex initiatives that span several squads and bring them to completion with a high degree of autonomy. Architecture Decisions: Make and own architectural and technical calls across squads, balancing speed, quality, and long-term scalability. Technical Leadership Without Authority: Align squad tech leads and engineering managers on technical direction through influence, not hierarchy. Raising the Bar: Act as the final step of our engineering interview panels and help define what great engineering looks like at Lexroom.
