Spring Health is actively seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will support our day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close processes, and financial reporting. This is a full-time, hybrid position with the expectation to be in office 1-2 days per month at our NYC Office. Occasional travel may be required for team or company events/meetings. What you'll do: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and other recurring entries with complete supporting documentation. Own assigned bank and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve or escalate open items promptly. Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes by completing assigned tasks accurately and on schedule. Maintain general ledger schedules for cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, payroll, and other assigned accounting areas. Prepare balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses and clearly explain material or unusual activity.
